Who is Push Iron & Metals?
Push Iron & Metals buys, processes, and recycles various ferrous and non-ferrous metals from the public and commercial businesses. We rebranded from A-Line Iron & Metals in 2024 to better reflect our commitment to the community and the environment.
Where can I find Push Iron & Metals locations?
You can find Push Iron & Metals at three convenient Iowa locations: Waterloo, Britt, and Kellogg. Check out our Locations page for hours and directions!
What are your hours of operation?
All locations have the same hours:
Office: Mon–Fri, 8 AM–4 PM
Scales: Mon–Fri, 8–11:45 AM & 1–3:30 PM (Scales closed 11:45 AM–1 PM)
What metals can I recycle with Push Iron & Metals?
At Push Iron & Metals, you can recycle most ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including steel, aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel, cast iron, and more. Not sure about your metal? Give us a call or bring it in, and we'll help you identify it. Check out our list of acceptable items here!
How will I get paid for my recycled materials?
When you arrive at Push Iron & Metals, pull onto the scale, and our team will guide you through the process. Depending on the materials you bring, we'll direct you to the correct scale and unloading area, either in the yard or at the warehouse. Once your materials are weighed and processed, your ticket will be finalized, and you'll receive payment by check before you leave.
Can I request a container if I'm not a business?
Yes! Push Iron & Metals provides containers for both commercial accounts and members of the public with large amounts of metal. For individuals interested, this service is great for farm cleanups, renovation projects, large-scale cleanouts, or community scrap drives.
